LOOK: Sam YG proposes to GF Essa Santos
Radio jock Sam YG is now engaged!
Sam (real name: Samir Gogna) revealed his romantic proposal to girlfriend Essa Santos yesterday, Jan. 26, on Instagram.
The “Boys Night Out” host shared a picture of him down on one knee amid a backdrop of dried grass, twinkling lights and the words “Will you marry me?” lit up. A second photo shows the diamond ring on his fiancee’s finger.
“Let me love you for the rest of my life?” he wrote.

Gogna gave behind-the-scenes trivia of the proposal today, Jan. 27, sharing that the engagement took place in a beautifully decorated 20-square-meter room.
Santos said in her Instagram post that she was completely taken by surprise and that she was only in house clothes for the milestone event.
“I ugly-cried the whole time,” she admitted. “Have to say I did not expect this proposal at all—I kinda wish I did para mas prepared ako (so that I would have been more prepared), but it makes for a great story anyway!”

In a birthday greeting via Instagram last May, Gogna said it took him seven attempts before she agreed to have a drink with him. He mentioned that she is from Cagayan de Oro and works for three companies. “She’s the smartest, most hardworking & resilient person I know,” he said.
