Dimples Romana lauds teen daughter Callie over bag business: ‘Walang makakapantay sa galak’

Dimples Romana is one proud mother of 17-year-old Callie, who has already established a brand that promotes and utilizes the skills of local artisans.
Following Callie’s interview with ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol, Romana could not help but gush over Callie as she noted that hearing her daughter talk about how her business helps others is a feeling like no other.
“I have been an entrepreneur for most my life while I am also a [full-time] actress and host. Saksi po kayo sa maraming taon ng pagtratrabaho at pagsusumikap naming mag asawa @papaboyetonline (Boyet Ahmee), at tunay na walang makapapantay sa galak at pagkaproud namin bilang magulang kapag mapakinggan mong magsalita at magmalasakit sa komunidad ang negosyong itinayo ng dating mumusmos lang naming anak,” Romana said on Instagram yesterday, Jan. 20.
(You are a witness to the many years of hard work done by your father, Boyet Ahmee, and me, and the excitement and pride we feel from hearing our once small daughter talk and care about the communities being helped by the business she founded is like no other.)
“Indeed our true legacy are our children. @callieahmee anak (my child), hearing you speak from the heart, championing local craftsmanship and using your influence and platform as a young woman entrepreneur MAKE US AS YOUR PARENTS feel like we’ve accomplished our jobs quite well,” the doting mother added.

Callie launched her online bag business called Cal the Brand last month. As of this writing, the young entrepreneur has already sold most items from her first collection, according to Romana.
The mother also disclosed that her daughter has already prepared three more sets and is also open to collaborations on future collections.
Cal the Brand offers rattan and abaca bags handcrafted by artisans from several livelihood communities in the country.
