Pia Wurtzbach called out the hurtful direct messages (DMs) she regularly receives after a netizen wished for her to be a “divorced single mother.”
Describing the comment as “exhausting and hurtful,” Wurtzbach urged her followers to embrace kindness and stop normalizing toxic online behavior.
“Just another day, another DM. Wild, right? C’mon people. Bagong taon na (it’s a new year already). Nag CNY pa (Chinese New Year also passed). It’s exhausting and hurtful, din ha. Let’s stop normalizing this kind of online behavior,” the beauty queen wrote.
“Out na natin yung ganito (let’s remove this) for 2025, and instead, let’s be nice to each other and support and uplift one another,” Wurtzbach continued as she shared a screenshot of the netizen’s message.
Aside from the “divorced, single mother” remark, the netizen also accused the beauty queen of being unable to afford a unique design of the luxury brand Hermes.
