Actresses KC Concepcion and Ruffa Gutierrez have personally extended a helping hand to the families in Cagayan who were displaced due to the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses.

Gutierrez, who was also accompanied by daughters Lorin and Venice, helped out in the relief operations in Tuguegarao City, the capital of Cagayan Province, yesterday, Nov. 16.

“[Five] days after Typhoon Ulysses ravaged the country affecting millions of families, some areas are still submerged [underwater],” she disclosed in an Instagram post on the same day.

Gutierrez’s post came with several photos and videos of her and her daughters seen handing out relief packs to the victims. In some videos, fans of the actress can be seen taking a moment to have selfies and videos with her.

“I pray that in the midst of sorrow, we all heal as a nation, do the best we can to help our communities so that they can rebuild their lives,” Guiterrez stressed. “We are with you during these difficult times. Love and prayers.”

KC Concepcion, meanwhile, shared her own take on the relief operations via her Instagram account also yesterday.

Her post came with a poem on how Filipinos can still be happy amid dire times and was aptly accompanied by a photo of the victims smiling and waving.

Under the post, Gutierrez left a comment, saying, “Seat mate!!!! [Heart emoji] Happy to be with you today. Bitin (It was not enough)!”
