KC Concepcion remembers ‘Mita’ Elaine Cuneta on death anniversary: ‘I will always cherish you’

KC Concepcion penned a heartfelt letter for her late “Mita,” Elaine Cuneta, as she remembered the latter on her sixth death anniversary.

The actress paid tribute to her grandmother, whom she says was her best friend, via Instagram yesterday, Nov. 5.

“I remember you [every day], not just on this day. I love you more than words can ever say. You were my best friend. My confidant. My light,” Concepcion said.

Concepcion’s message was accompanied by a sweet photo of her with her Mita on a hospital bed. “This was the day you waved goodbye to me… With a smile on your face,” Concepcion said.

“I will always cherish that. I will always cherish you. I love you, Mita,” she added.

Cuneta, the mother of Megastar Sharon Cuneta, passed away at 79 years old in 2014 due to internal bleeding and complications from abdominal surgery.

Cuneta was the wife of the late Pasay City Mayor Pablo Cuneta and sister of former beauty queen and veteran actress and TV host Helen Gamboa.

Aside from paying tribute to her late grandmother, Concepcion also yesterday penned a sentimental birthday greeting for her father, Gabby Concepcion, and shared it on Instagram. NVG
