In their latest release called “Di Ka Sayang,” Ben&Ben reminds listeners that they are enough just the way they are.

The nine-piece folk-pop group dropped the song on their Facebook page earlier today, Nov. 6. The band initially planned on premiering it on streaming platforms but were unable to due to a problem.

Instead of simply waiting for the issue to be resolved, Ben&Ben decided to upload the whole track on Facebook for the time being.

“[G]ustong gusto na naming marinig ninyong lahat ngayong gabi (We really want all of you to hear [this] tonight),” the band said.

“Di ka sayang/Di kailangang manghinayang/Di ka sayang/Di kailangang patunayang,” the chorus goes. “Sarili ay mahalaga/Kahit pa anong tingin nila/Tanggap kita.”

(You are not a waste/No need to feel regret/You are not a waste/No need to prove yourself/One’s self is important/No matter what they think/I accept you.)

Paolo Benjamin, one-half of the band’s lead vocals, took to Twitter to explain why they pushed for the release of their song despite the problem. He stated that they simply wanted to remind their fans that they are valid, loved and enough before they fall asleep.

Meanwhile, his twin brother and co-lead vocalist, Miguel, thanked their supporters for bearing with them despite the delay.

“This song is for all of us,” he added.

Prior to the song’s release, the band described it as the “first single of the new era.”

Along with “Di Ka Sayang,” Ben&Ben has also dropped other tracks such as “Lifetime” and their first international single “Doors” amid the COVID-19 pandemic. NVG
