Lolit Solis speaks up on cancellation of talk show with Kris Aquino
Lolit Solis opened up to the public on the cancellation of the talk show meant to be hosted by her, Kris Aquino, Cristy Fermin and Jeffrey Espiritu, popularly known as Mr. Fu.
Through a series of Instagram posts since yesterday, Nov. 4, the talent manager laid down the reasons why she and her “Take It… Per Minute! (Me Ganun)” co-hosts will not be joining Aquino in the proposed talk show.
“Ngayon ko napatunayan Salve iyon kasabihan ‘if it is not meant to be, it is not meant to be.’ Iyon balak na pagsamahin kami nila Cristy at Mr. Fu with Kris Aquino sa isang talkshow nagsimula sa hitches, hanggang sa final decision namin tatlo na huwag ng gawin,” she said.
(I only now proved, Salve, that the saying “if it is not meant to be, it is not meant to be” is true. Our plan to have Cristy and Mr. Fu with Kris Aquino in a talk show started with hitches, until the three of us arrived at a final decision to not push through.)
“Exciting nung una ang idea, lalo pa nga at meron din soft spot sa puso namin ni Cristy si Kris. Exciting dahil sa daldal namin tatlo nila Kris at Cristy siguro ang ingay literally at in fairness, very juicy ang lahat ng lalabas sa mga bibig namin,” Solis added.

Solis said that Aquino wanted Mr. Fu to do trial runs with them at first just to see how they will blend together as co-hosts.
Fermin, however, was not comfortable in having Mr. Fu do trial runs first before fully being part of the team. This, coupled with the hassle of doing technical runs and swab tests, eventually led to the cancellation of their talk show with Aquino.

In the following post, Solis noted that they have “no regrets” in having the show canceled, although she noted that it was a pity that Aquino will not experience working with Mr. Fu, whom she described as a “team player, very sharp [and] pleasant.”
“Sayang at hindi niya nakita how happy we are working together,” Solis said. (It is a pity that she will not get to see how happy we are working together.)
“The only regret for giving up this show, we could have given our followers the top of the line enjoyment in watching us having repartee with each other. For now, let it go. No regrets. If it is not meant to be, no matter how hard you push, walang mangyayari (nothing will happen),” she added.
Despite this, Solis still wished Aquino good luck and noted that her talk show will surely be exciting.

In another post also made yesterday, Solis noted that not pushing through with the talk show may have been for the best as the blending of the “triumvirate” of her, Fermin and Mr. Fu may not go well with the addition of Aquino.
She also noted that she will have to be more careful in what she says, among other things, if the show ever pushed through out of respect to the Queen of All Media.
“Kaya siguro nagkaruon din ng hitches dahil baka bigger pa ang mangyari pag magkakasama na kaming apat. I owe it to Kris na gusto niya kami makasama ni Cristy, I feel thankful for her giving in [to] some of my requests, and I am really happy that she [has] a new show,” Solis said.
She added that while now “is not the right time yet,” she is still open to possibilities of working together in the future. JB
