Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda is known for expressing his love for his wife, Neri Naig, online. And it turns out that the internet paved the way for the beloved couple’s romance in the first place.

Miranda took to Instagram last Monday, Sept. 21, to reminisce on one of the biggest—and undoubtedly best—decisions he has ever made in his life: getting Naig’s attention through Twitter.

“I have so many things to be thankful for (my family, my friends, my band, etc…), pero isa sa pinaka-thankful ako for sa buong buhay ko, is yung fact na nagpa-cute at nilandi ko si Neri Naig sa Twitter (… but one of the things I am most thankful for in my life is the fact that I flirted with Neri Naig on Twitter) hehe!” Miranda said.

Miranda also advised fans to not be afraid to take a leap of faith when it comes to love, noting that when they let an opportunity pass, someone else will be there to take it.

“Kaya ikaw, wag na wag kang matatakot mag-take ng chance (That is why you should never ever be afraid to take that chance)… because if you don’t, someone else will,” he said.

Miranda recently penned a new song dedicated to Naig for her birthday on Sept. 7. He has since released a lyric video for the song, titled “Smile,” which he released last week.

Miranda noted that the song is not an official single and is “simply a song I wrote for my wife on her birthday,” noting that anyone can download it “and use it as if it were yours” as it is not copyright-protected.

The couple has been married since December 2014 and actually tied the knot twice: the first was a civil wedding in a Taguig City restaurant and the second a garden ceremony in Tagaytay the day after. They had their first and so far only son, Miggy, back in 2016.  /ra
