Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber encouraged the Filipino youth to become registered voters after they themselves registered to vote.

Barber later posted photos of him and Entrata at a registration site on his Instagram page yesterday, Sept. 10. They were accompanied by their fellow celebrity and TV host Robi Domingo.

“Registered to vote. Make sure you do too!” Barber said. “Let’s change the course of our nation and write OUR OWN history.”

Barber included the hashtag “#40MStrong” as well, which refers to the estimated 40 million youth who will be eligible to vote in the next elections.

Entrata also shared images of them filling up the necessary forms on her own profile.

“Mag pa rehistro na para maka boto (Register so you can vote), ” she told her fans and followers.

Meanwhile, Domingo mentioned how others used to vote for them during their time on “Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7.”

“Ngayon sila naman ang boboto para sa kinabukasan,” he said. “Ikaw, nakapag-register ka na ba?”

(Now they will be voting for the future. You, have you registered already?)

The voter registration began last Jan. 20 and resumed on Sept. 1, except in places still under enhanced community quarantine or modified enhanced community quarantine.

Registration was first suspended on March 9 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Commission on Elections posted guidelines on how to register amid the health crisis on Twitter last month.

The necessary forms can be downloaded through COMELEC’s official website.  /ra
