Angel Locsin on COVID-19 positive vlogger who’s critical of her: ‘Nobody deserves COVID’

Angel Locsin is urging fans to stop bashing a vlogger, who has been “habitually criticizing” the actress, after he recently got infected with the novel coronavirus.

Locsin took to her Instagram Stories yesterday, Aug. 19, to share her appeal along with her well-wishes for the vlogger, whom she did not name.

“I’ve been receiving messages about a vlogger who’s been habitually criticizing me and is now positive of [COVID-19]. Let’s not wish ill of him,” the actress stressed.

“Nobody deserves [COVID-19]. Hope you get well soon,” Locsin added. She likewise shared her message via Twitter yesterday and has since gotten over 1,800 retweets and almost 30,000 likes, as of writing.

Fans and fellow actress Alessandra de Rossi have meanwhile expressed their admiration for Locsin and agreed with her appeal.

“Totoo naman [prayer hands emoji] nobody deserves it,” de Rossi replied to Locsin’s tweet also yesterday. “Get well soon [na lang] talaga.” (That is really true, nobody deserves it. We can just wish for him to get well soon.)

“Totoo [lang] Idol masakit sa amin ma bash ka ang daming hindi magagandang sinasabe sayo nila. But coming from you OK I will pray for his recovery,” a fan, one @Fatimateamangel, meanwhile replied.

(To be honest, idol, it hurts when you get bashedand when they say bad things about you. But coming from you, okay I will pray for his recovery.)

Although Locsin refrained from dropping a name, fans were quick to speculate that the said vlogger was Banat By (real name: Byron Cristobal), a staunch supporter of the Duterte administration.

Banat By confirmed this also yesterday after Locsin’s post blew up on Twitter, saying he was indeed the vlogger the actress was referring to.

“Ay pinapatrending pala ako ng mga pa woke na NPA. Anyway salamat [Ms.] @143redangel (Locsin), ako po yung blogger na yun,” he tweeted. (Oh, so these woke NPA are making me trend. Anyway, thank you Ms. Locsin, I am that blogger.)

“Ty uli. Sa mga salot sa pulitika meron tayo tinatawag na ceasefire pag usapin ay sakit o kamatayan. Ang alam ko lang na hindi sumusunod sa ceasefire ay mga NPA,” he added.

(Thank you again. To the scum of politics, we have what we call a ceasefire when something concerns disease or death. The only ones I know who do not recognize ceasefires are the NPA.)

Banat By yesterday revealed through his Facebook page that he has COVID-19, noting that he has not been feeling well since Aug. 6, his birthday. JB
