Robin Padilla to Mariel Rodriguez on 10th wedding anniv: ‘Thank you babe, kapitan ng aking barko’

Robin Padilla reaffirmed his love and devotion for Mariel Rodriguez as they marked their first decade together as husband and wife.
The celebrity couple got married at the iconic Taj Mahal in New Delhi, India on Aug. 19, 2010. Padilla reminisced on the anniversary of their union by showing a few outtakes of their trip, as seen on his Instagram page today.
The veteran actor said that he and Rodriguez tied the knot in three different ceremonies including a Muslim, Born Again and Igorot wedding. They are still lacking a Catholic and civil ceremony, according to Padilla.
“[Lahat] ng blessing at panalangin ay ating ipinagpapasalamat bilang panlaban natin sa mga malalapit at malalayo sa atin na nais tayong mabigo at magkahiwalay,” the actor said. “Panalangin ko na mabiyayaan pa tayo ng buhay at lakas para matupad pa natin ang lahat ng mga wedding rights na ating pinangarap.”

“Thank you my babe sa 10 taon na pagiging kapitan ng aking barko without your sailing patience matagal na akong na abandoned ship,” Padilla added. (Thank you my babe for 10 years of being the captain of my ship; without your sailing patience, I would have been an abandoned ship long ago.)

Quoting VST & Co’s “Ipagpatawad Mo”, Padilla also expressed his love for Rodriguez by mixing its memorable lyrics with his anniversary wish for their marriage.
“Ipagpatawad mo [magmula] noon hanggang ngayon na 10 taon na tayo ay patuloy pa rin kitang iniibig,” he said. “Ipagpatawad mo kung hihingin ko sa Nagiisang Panginoong maylikha ang marami pang taon sa piling mo para kitay mahalin at ibigin pa.”

Rodriguez likewise expressed her love and commitment to the actor on her Instagram account.

The couple has two daughters together: 3-year-old Maria Isabella and baby Gabriela, who will turn one year old this November. JB
