Lara Quigaman on how Marco Alcaraz eases her pregnancy insecurities

Actress Lara Quigaman talked about how her husband, Marco Alcaraz, helps her with some of her insecurities brought about by her pregnancy.
Quigaman flaunted her baby bump at 26 weeks via Instagram yesterday, June 25. At the same time, the Miss International 2005 winner addressed the “glow” that some pregnant women seem to project.
“When you’re pregnant, you glow they said… Glow?!” she questioned. “Glow with [stretch marks]? My dark armpits and neck doesn’t seem to be glowing. Yung double chin ko at braso (My double chin and arms), sure! Glowing with extra fat!”
She also asked how come other expecting moms are still skinny and beautiful while they are pregnant. Quigaman said that as mothers, “we tend to compare ourselves with others and that causes us to feel insecure and then sad.”
“Buti na lang atik-atik ang asawa ko @marcoalcaraz sinasabihan pa rin akong maganda at sexy kahit pumuputok na ako,” she added.
(Good thing my husband is a little nuts and still tells me I’m beautiful and sexy even though I’m swelling.)
The former beauty queen is due to give birth to her third son with the actor in September.
Quigaman previously talked about how Alcaraz is “nothing but the best husband,” on her Instagram post on June 18.
The actress narrated how her husband took care of her while she was pregnant with their son Tobias, and continues to do so now that she is carrying their third child. She noted that much like her previous pregnancies, Alcaraz is “still the same”–pampering her as he gets her food whenever she’s hungry and massages her any time she requests for it.
Quigaman and Alcaraz tied the knot in 2012. They welcomed their first child, Noah, in the same year. Their second son, Tobias Nolan, was born in 2018. /ra
