Boys’ Love series ‘Hello Stranger’ starring Tony Labrusca, JC Alcantara to premiere next week

The Boys’ Love (BL) series “Hello Stranger,” which is production company Black Sheep’s first-ever digital series, is set to premiere next Wednesday, June 24.

“Hello Stranger,” which partners up lead star Tony Labrusca with actor JC Alcantara, will be available through Black Sheep’s official Facebook page and YouTube account, the production company announced on Instagram yesterday, June 18.

Labrusca will be playing Xavier, while Alcantara will star as Mico in the said digital series directed by the award-winning Petersen Vargas (“2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten”).

The romantic leads will be joined by Gillian Vicencio, Vivoree Esclito, Patrick Quiroz and Miguel Almendras.

“Hello Stranger” comes just as the BL genre gains popularity in the country following the success of Thai BL series “2gether: The Series” among Filipino viewers.

The sequel of “2gether” is also set to air in the Philippines through ABS-CBN, which has a partnership with GMMTV, the producer of the said Thai series.  /ra
