WATCH: Janno, Manilyn, ’80s love teams reunite for ‘That’s Quarantainment’
MANILA, Philippines—Amid the rise of online concerts and virtual shows during the COVID-19 pandemic, the love teams of “That’s Entertainment” have become the latest to join the trend by reuniting and performing for their “Batang ’80s” fans.
Janno Gibbs, Manilyn Reynes, Romnick Sarmenta, Sheryl Cruz, Ramon “Monching” Gutierrez, Tina Paner, and Joseph “Keempee” De Leon sang the classic ’80s Starship hit “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” for their “That’s Quarantainment” performance on Instagram last Thursday night.
“This quarantine has given us all a chance to re-connect w old friends. So I invited some of mine for this and they all came through!” Gibbs said. “Here’s to all of us who get by with a little help from our friends.”

Back in their “That’s Entertainment” days, Gibbs and De Leon partnered with Reynes, Sarmenta with Cruz, while Gutierrez was with Paner.
Article continues after this advertisementThe variety show, which has produced some of the country’s biggest stars, was hosted by the late German “Kuya Germs” Moreno on GMA 7. “That’s Entertainment” first aired on television in 1986 and lasted until 1996.
