WATCH: Yassi Pressman sings ‘Kaya Natin Ito’ for frontliners amid COVID-19
To honor the modern-day heroes of the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis, actress Yassi Pressman used her singing talent to send out a message of hope and strength, through the song “Kaya Natin Ito”.
Pressman dedicated the song to the frontliners as a way to lift up their spirits during these challenging times, as per her Instagram post yesterday, April 21. The “Ang Probinsyano” star collaborated with Eich Abando and Ronnie Ong for the project. Abando composed the music, Ong served as producer, while the two co-wrote the lyrics.
“Sa napakahirap po na mga panahong katulad nito, binibigyan n’yo po kaming lahat ng pag-asa,” Pressman said. “[Sana] rin po, hindi rin po kayo mawalan ng lakas ng loob.”
(During difficult times like these, you [frontliners] give us hope. I hope you will also not lose your courage.)
Pressman also urged her fans to continuously pray for the crisis to end. The uplifting song highlights the solidarity of every Filipino to get through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pressman’s four-minute music video portrays the Filipinos’ life during the COVID-19 quarantine. While some are required to stay in their homes and sometimes even be separated from their loved ones, others are working and putting their lives at risk to keep the rest of the country safe.
The anthem also acknowledged essential workers whose line of work are outside the hospitals, such as government employees, grocery store workers, online delivery services crew, police officers, soldiers and more.

Similarly, actress Kathryn Bernardo showed her appreciation for healthcare workers and other essential employees by reciting a poem in their honor. JB
