Bimby turns 13 in quarantine at resort, receives greeting from dad James Yap
As Kris Aquino’s youngest son Bimby celebrated his birthday in quarantine yesterday, April 19, his estranged dad James Yap wrote him a heartfelt greeting.
Bimby turned 13 at a Puerto Galera resort, where he lit his own birthday candles and shared meals with his mom and older brother Joshua, as seen in videos that Aquino posted on Instagram yesterday.
“My bunso is no longer my baby, he’s now officially a TEENAGER,” she declared.

Bimby had a gelato cake and a carrot cake — the latter from the Sunset at Aninuan Beach Resort staff — while Aquino made him baked spaghetti.
She shared her appreciation for her son’s unconditional love in a message: “[I] haven’t posted much recently — but [I] had to share a video of Bimb on his birthday w/ all of you… And this was my chance to say [I] always try my best to be a good mom, BUT apart from my mom, nobody has ever loved & believed in me, in my imperfect totality the way my bunso (youngest) does…”
“My 2 sons are living proof — [I] continue to be blessed far more than a person deserves to be.”
Aquino and her sons have been isolated at the resort after coming from Boracay prior to the Metro Manila lockdown on March 15.
Yap meanwhile greeted his firstborn on Instagram yesterday: “Happy Happy 13th Birthday Bimb! May God continue to bless you with many more years of health and life.. I love you son!”

He shared pictures of him and his son bonding in the past, such as Bimby riding on a motorcycle with him and both of them playing in a pool.
“Mingaw na ka Bai (Do you miss him friend)?” one commenter, photographer Lito Sy asked. “Don’t worry someday hahanapin ka nyan (he will look for you) even without his mom’s permission. Believe me.”
“Unta Bai puhon (Hopefully, friend, someday),” the PBA star said.

Aquino and Yap had their marriage annulled in 2012. There has been continued hostility between them as Aquino said in 2018 that the cager has not been paying child support. Yap has since had two children with Michela Cazzola. JB
