Actor Slater Young surprised wife Kryz Uy with a baby shower in their home in Cebu as they prepare to welcome their first son.
Young threw the intimate celebration with his family last night, April 4, the vlogger said in her Instagram post today, April 5.
“[The] one my bestie originally planned got [canceled] due to the quarantine and for everyone’s safety we decided to forgo it instead of [postponing] it, but [I] never expected this!” the expectant mother explained.

A portion of their house was decorated with a teepee along with blue and white balloons and paper lamps to celebrate their baby boy. Their loved ones also matched the overall theme by wearing shades of blue and white clothes. Their family members even played games with balloons under their shirts, making them appear pregnant during the celebration.
While the event was a joyful moment for the couple, some of the vlogger’s fans did not seem to agree with having a get-together amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. These sentiments prompted Uy to update her post, saying, “[Sa] mga nagaaway diyan (To those fighting), we quarantined together, live beside each other and eat dinner together every night.”
She added that they did not break any quarantine guidelines since they live beside each other. Uy stated that she deleted negative comments from her post while also encouraging her fans to “think or ask” before making assumptions.
Uy revealed that she and Young were expecting a baby through a vlog post in November. The soon-to-be parents got married in an outdoor ceremony in Cebu in February, also last year. JB
