While he has not released new material since 2012’s “Tempest”, Bob Dylan will spend most of his summer on the road in the United States.

Dylan announced that he will embark on an extensive tour of arenas and amphitheaters across North America, where he will share the stage with Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats as well as the Hot Club of Cowtown.

This is not the first time that the 78-year-old musician will hit the road with the Hot Club of Cowtown, as the Western swing trio served as the opening act for Dylan and Willie Nelson’s 2004 joint tour.

In addition, Hot Club of Cowtown’s Elana James became in 2005 the first female instrumentalist to join Dylan’s touring band in over three decades, following in the footsteps of American violinist Scarlet Riviera.

Dylan’s new 25-date tour will kick off on June 4 at the Les Schwab Amphitheatre in Bend, Oregon, before heading to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Albuquerque and Nashville, among other U.S. cities.

Dylan will also perform on July 12 at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, which is now remembered as the original location of 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair.

The “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” singer shunned Woodstock, held near his home in upstate New York, in favor of the then-little-known Isle of Wight Festival.

In April, Dylan is also scheduled to play a slew of concerts across Japan, although the singer-songwriter still has to confirm these touring plans in the light of the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

In the meantime, tickets for his Forest Hills and Bethel Woods shows will go on sale on Friday, March 13 at 10 a.m. EST. RGA
