Pokwang honored her late friend and fellow comedian Chokoleit yesterday, March 9, one year after he passed away.

The actress-comedienne marked his first death anniversary with a heartfelt message for him on her Instagram page on the same day.

“One year today, one year mona akong pinapaiyak lagi at nalulungkot kapag naaalala ko wala na pala akong tagapag pasaya at taga punas ng luha ko, one year na pala akong biglang tatawa kapag naalala namin bigla ang kabaliwan mo,” she said.

(One year today, you have been making me cry all the time for one year now, and I get sad whenever I remember that I no longer have someone to make me happy and wipe away my tears, it has already been a year with me suddenly laughing when we remember your craziness.)

She then pointed out that there is no one like her friend, whom she fondly calls “Chokie.”

“Kagaya ng pinangako ko hindi ka mawawala sa mga dasal ko araw araw yan,” Pokwang reassured him.

(Like I promised, you will never be left out of my everyday prayers.)

Chokoleit, known as Jonathan Aguilar Garcia off stage, died after a performance in Abra last March. He was 46 years old.  /ra
