Joshua Garcia and Janella Salvador are set to work together again in an upcoming episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya,” following the end of their latest series “The Killer Bride.”
The two stars will be portraying students who meet in their school’s pep squad, as seen in a clip on the show’s Instagram page last Monday, Feb. 17.
Before taping the episode, Garcia and Salvador underwent training for their roles as pep squad members. A series of photos from their training shows Salvador standing atop Garcia’s shoulders, while another features Garcia holding her up along with other people.
In a separate video, they showed off their on-screen chemistry as they practiced a dance routine in preparation for the show.
The two actors will be portraying students named Aira and Jason, the show revealed in a separate post yesterday.
Prior to working on “Maalaala Mo Kaya,” the two were speculated to be in a relationship together during their time as co-stars in “The Killer Bride.” However, Garcia clarified that they were just close friends when he guested on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” last month.
At the time, he said, “Gusto ko siya maging kaibigan habang buhay more than maging girlfriend (I want her to be more my friend for life than being my girlfriend).” /ra
