Aiko Melendez rushed to hospital after vomiting on set
Aiko Melendez was rushed to a hospital after vomiting while taping for her TV series “Prima Donnas” in Pampanga yesterday, Jan. 29.
The actress recounted how she ended up in the medical center on her Facebook page today, Jan. 30.
She first noted how she manages to interact with the show’s fans even if only for a while because it makes them happy. Melendez accompanied her post with photos of her with some fans.
I always make it a point to interact with our fans ,kasi kahit unting time napasaya ko sila. I was in Pampanga this…
Melendez then recalled that she had been vomiting while on the set in Pampanga yesterday morning. At one point, she ran to a nearby empty area because she had to vomit while taping.
This prompted the show’s executive producer, Marissa Jesuitas-Hilario, to rush Melendez to a nearby hospital during dinner time. The actress also noted how it felt “creepy” to be a patient inside an ambulance.
Melendez assured her fans that she was not food-poisoned despite her earlier vomiting. However, she said her stomach remained uneasy due to loose bowel movement.
The actress also mentioned that the incident had caused her boyfriend, Zambales Vice Gov. Jay Khonghun, to panic, making him want to rush to Pampanga for her.
Melendez later thanked her fans for showing love to Kendra, her character on the show. The actress also apologized to the people on the set for causing them to worry about her.
“Thanks baby Jay Khonghun nastress kita kanina (I stressed you out earlier),” she said in jest.
She then made light of the situation, saying, “[Di po] ako buntis (I am not pregnant) [laughs].” /ra
