WATCH: Sandara Park takes on Tala dance challenge

K-pop star Sandara Park finally gave in to the craze and danced to Sarah Geronimo’s hit pop tune “Tala”, following other celebrities who have also tried out its trendsetting choreography. The 2015 song resurfaced years after its release, after netizens again picked up the unique dance moves for it.

“Finally!!! I got to learn the hottest dance craze!!!” Park said in her Twitter post yesterday, Jan. 26, with a video of her short performance.

The artist appeared to have no trouble following the song’s popular steps as she grooved to the tune. Park learned the routine from celebrity choreographer Georcelle Dapat-Sy of the dance company G-Force.

“Thank you Teacher Georcelle for the time & love!!!” Park said. “[S]uper fun!!!”

The K-pop star also expressed her admiration for Geronimo, saying, “Love u Sarah G!!!”

Park has been a long-time fan of the pop singer. Back in 2016, she posted a selfie with Geronimo whom she called her idol, as seen on her Instagram page.

Aside from Park, Korean girl group Momoland also took on the challenge of dancing to “Tala”, during their appearance on “Gandang Gabi Vice” earlier this month. Among the local celebrities, Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde have also tried out the pop hit’s dance steps.

Meanwhile, Geronimo is set to share the stage with Regine Velasquez for a two-day concert in February, entitled “Unified”. JB
