Phil Younghusband and his wife Margaret Hall’s wish to become parents have come true this Christmas season — they revealed that they are expecting their first baby.

The retired football player broke the good news with a photo of Hall lovingly holding her baby bump, while Younghusband showed a sonogram of their future child, as seen in his Instagram post yesterday, Dec. 22.

“[Margaret] and I are excited to let everyone know that we are expecting a new addition to the Younghusband family in the Summer of 2020,” the former athlete said. “Mags has just entered her 2nd trimester and so far, she is doing really well.”

Younghusband pointed out that he and Hall have been dreaming of becoming parents “for a long time now” and feel “truly blessed by the Lord” for it to come true.

“We hope to be half as good as parents as our [mothers] and [fathers] have been to us and those parents we have surrounded ourselves with,” he added.

Meanwhile, Hall described being pregnant as “the most incredible feeling” in her own Instagram page. She also expressed her gratefulness for “this beautiful miracle.”
