Philanthropic actress Angel Locsin is lending her support to a new cause: the fight against piracy.

Locsin was handpicked as anti-piracy ambassador for the Optical Media Board (OMB) and signed a contract with the agency yesterday, Dec. 20.

The OMB regulates the production, use and distribution of recording media in the country. It is pushing for amendments to the Optical Media Act of 2003 so it can have legal power over unlicensed software shared or sold online.
