LOOK: Heart Evangelista helps with relief operations in Sorsogon

Actress Heart Evangelista has been helping the Sorsogon province get back on its feet after it was severely hit by Typhoon Tisoy earlier this December along with the other provinces in the Bicol Region.
The social media darling expressed her love and gratitude to all the people who donated in their local relief operations on Instagram today, Dec. 19. For the past few days, Evangelista herself has been visiting the locals and helping in the distribution of relief goods and other donations.
“In the true spirit of Christmas, I have been blessed to witness the generous spirit of people, who gave their all in helping those in need,” Evangelista stated.

She also thanked the non-profit organization The Buddhist Tzu Chi Medical Foundation for lending a hand and giving out donations.
The actress also visited children in the province and gave them toys and other necessities, as seen in her post yesterday, Dec. 18.
“You have given these kids their smiles back and that’s something we wouldn’t trade for the world,” Evangelista said.

Evangelista’s husband, Francis “Chiz” Escudero, is currently the governor of Sorsogon province. Aside from her philanthropic efforts after the typhoon, Evangelista also partnered with a dog-rescue non-profit organization to provide a homeless man his very own home earlier this month. /ra
