‘My strong independent woman’: Neil Arce cheers on Angel Locsin for Forbes philanthropist nod
Film producer Neil Arce was a proud fiancé when Angel Locsin received the nod as one of Forbes Asia‘s “Heroes of Philanthropy” yesterday, Dec. 3.
The said list highlighted 30 individuals across the Asia-Pacific region for their altruism.
Locsin has not spoken about her recognition but Arce was quick to share the news with his fans and followers on Instagram yesterday.
“Dahil nahihiya ka ipost ako na lang mag post (Because you are shy to post, I will post instead),” he said.
“[M]y strong independent woman!” Arce added. “[I’m] proud of you my Love!”

Article continues after this advertisementThe multi-awarded actress was recognized for donating as much as P15 million over the past decade for causes such as scholarships, supporting the rights of indigenous people and ending violence against women and children.
One of Locsin’s latest charitable acts was donating P1 million to those affected by the earthquakes that hit Mindanao in October. The actress also helped distribute relief supplies to the affected communities.
Along with Locsin, businessman Hans Sy was also recognized as another generous Filipino philanthropist.
Locsin and Arce are set to get married soon, after the film producer proposed to her in June. JB
