Coleen Garcia opened up about the ordeal her husband, Billy Crawford, has faced since he arrived from their trip to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Crawford got a flat tire in Pasig and was using his phone as a flashlight when it was snatched by kids, she said in an Instagram post on Monday, Sept. 30. She added that her husband experienced other “negative things” on that day.
“Trying not to let it get to us, but Billy hasn’t had a phone (no messaging, no social media) since he got back, and it’s been challenging for him because of work,” she said.
Garcia chose to use the incident as a teaching moment, stating that one can still choose to be grateful despite the circumstances.
“When you know you’re on the right path—the right attitude, the right mindset—don’t allow anything to bring you down. Choosing to be happy and grateful NO MATTER WHAT, because that’s actually what God wants us to do,” she said.
There is, indeed, much to be grateful for. The happy couple has been traveling together for the past year—including a trip to Texas, where Crawford spent part of his childhood—after they married in April 2018. /ra
