Awra Briguela loses phone to thief posing as stall assistant at a bazaar
Awra Briguela shared his experience of losing his phone at a bazaar last Saturday to warn others who might fall prey to a thief.
The actor posted on Instagram on Monday, Sept. 23, the details about how his phone was stolen at a bazaar held at the World Trade Center in Pasay city.
Briguela was shopping for clothes at a stall when a woman he thought was an assistant told him and his companions that they could set aside their bags while he fit some items. After a while, the woman left and they did not see her again.

He and his companions searched for the phone along with security guards from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to no avail. They also requested CCTV footage, but the stall they were in was not covered. One security guard found clothes in a trash can that Briguela said was the same as what the woman wore.

(I feel bad because we were not cautious and we trusted right way, but it is OK that it was just the cellphone that was taken and nothing bad happened to me and my sister.)
He also left a message for the thief and appealed that she should not waste her life on stealing: “Ate may itsura ka pa naman sayang ka kung patuloy mong gagawin yan. Sana ‘wag mong sayangin yung buhay mo para lang sa mga bagay na gusto mo pero hindi mo makuha sa magandang paraan.”
(You have the looks and it is a waste if you keep doing that. I hope you will not waste your life just for things that you want but cannot acquire through the proper way.) /ra
