Last October, ABS-CBN stars headed to Sydney to stage a live variety show for fans in the Land Down Under.

The cast, which included Regine Velasquez, Gary Valenciano, Darren Espanto, Enrique Gil, Liza Soberano and Maja Salvador, performed last Oct. 20 at the ICC Sydney Theatre.

TV host Robi Domingo, who was part of the “ASAP” cast that flew to Australia, released a vlog on Nov. 15 of what the performers were doing during their downtime.

At one point, Domingo talked to actor Daniel Padilla about losing his phone in the city, as seen at the 7:42 mark in the video.

“It’s not about the phone for me,” said Domingo when he asked Padilla what he felt.

“Yeah, oo (yes), it’s not about the phone,” said Padilla, who looked dejected about the situation. “You can always buy a new phone. You know, it’s the files, it’s the pictures.”

“And? What else?” Domingo probed.

“And I cannot also contact my, my girlfriend, man,” he replied.

“The problem is she’s gonna be very very mad at me,” he said, failing to keep a straight face as he and Domingo broke into laughter.

Certainly, Padilla’s onscreen and real-life love Kathryn Bernardo must have been understanding of his predicament. The actress did not join the group as she was busy filming the Cathy Garcia-Molina project “Three Words to Forever” in Ormoc City. The film stars Sharon Cuneta and Richard Gomez.

The couple eventually got to travel together in Canada where they performed in “One Magical Night” shows earlier this November. JB
