Donnalyn Bartolome praises ‘humble’ Alex Gonzaga amid snubbing rumors
Alex Gonzaga has had to deal with rumors this week that she had snubbed actors Rita Daniela and Ken Chan, but has also received praises from Donnalyn Bartolome about a positive work experience.
Entertainment columnist Lolit Solis claimed that Gonzaga ignored the actors at an airport lounge. The actress and vlogger denied it, stating that she shook hands with both Daniela and Chan. The two actors said the encounter took place some time ago and that their meeting might have been misinterpreted by others with them.
As Solis stands firm with her statement, actress Donnalyn Bartolome gave an account of her experience of working with Gonzaga in an Instagram post yesterday, Sept. 26. She shared a video clip of her and Gonzaga during a music video shoot.

Bartolome recalled the time that she asked Gonzaga if she could be part of her self-directed music video “Di Lahat,” which celebrates beautiful women and which was released in June. She said that even if they did not know each other personally, Gonzaga replied to her message and was supportive of the project.

Bartolome added, “SHE DIDN’T EVEN ACCEPT HER TOKEN for her appearance and we know how valuable her time is.”
Gonzaga was grateful to Bartolome for her kind words. She wrote in the comments section, “Donna.. you didn’t have to.. thank you.. you were such a delight to work with! Im so happy to be part of your successful song.”
Solis said yesterday on Instagram that she had spoken to Gonzaga’s mom, Pinty, telling her no explanations were needed: “Walang paliwanagan, basta para sa akin nasulat ko ang nangyari, kung ano totoo, nasa konsensiya na nilang tatlo iyon (No explanations, for me I wrote what happened and what is true; leave it to the conscience of the three).” /ra
