Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe, Gary Oldman reunite
Daniel Radcliffe and Gary Oldman reunited in Toronto, Canada, on Monday, Sept. 9, eight years after the release of the last “Harry Potter” film.
While Radcliffe played the titular character in the hit fantasy movie series, Oldman depicted Sirius Black, Harry’s rebellious godfather. The latter actor was in four Harry Potter films: “Prisoner of Azkaban,” “Goblet of Fire,” Order of the Phoenix” and “Deathly Hallows: Part 2,” which premiered in 2011.
The two actors saw each other once again at the Toronto International Film Festival, where their latest films were screened. Radcliffe stars in “Guns Akimbo” and Oldman in “The Laundromat.”
A picture from Szacon Agency captured the heartwarming moment on Monday. The caption stated that Radcliffe told Oldman, “Oh wow, I need a photo with you.”

Oldman’s wife, Gisele Schmidt, posted a picture of the pair yesterday, Sept. 10. “Harry Potter and Sirius Black,” she wrote.

Radcliffe has been open about his admiration for the veteran British actor. He said in an October 2018 Buzzfeed interview that the death of Sirius Black was the most difficult for him in the franchise.
“At the time, I didn’t know if I’d be working with Gary Oldman again, and that was very sad, and I adored Gary, and working with him was an incredibly formative experience in my life,” he said.
He has also said that “Order of the Phoenix” is his favorite movie in large part because of Oldman, as per a Wired interview in February. “I love it because of the relationship of Harry and Sirius. And you get a lot of Gary Oldman in that movie.” Niña V. Guno /ra
