Miley Cyrus just friends with Kaitlynn Carter after kissing in Italy?
As news broke that Miley Cyrus was kissing reality show star Kaitlynn Carter in Italy on Saturday, Aug. 10, the announcement of her split with Liam Hemsworth made headlines.
The “Wrecking Ball” star has been vacationing in Italy with friends including her sister Brandi Cyrus. Over the weekend, photos surfaced of her kissing Carter by a poolside of their hotel in Italy.

Like Cyrus, Carter had just come from a breakup with her “The Hills: New Beginnings” costar Brody Jenner after five years together, as reported by Entertainment Tonight on Aug. 2. They wed in Bali, Indonesia, in June 2018, though a source told Entertainment Tonight that they were not legally married.
Could there be something brewing between the two women? So far, Cyrus has introduced Carter as her friend during their vacation, a source told People on Monday, Aug. 12.
Last July, Cyrus admitted to Elle that she was still “very sexually attracted to women.” Of marrying Hemsworth, back then she said, “I made a partner decision. This is the person I feel has my back the most.”
Cyrus and Carter have spent time together in the past months. In July, Carter joined the Cyrus family in the United Kingdom as the pop star performed in Glastonbury. The two also bonded along with their then-partners in Malibu.
It seems Jenner is taking the breakup and the kiss in stride. In a picture on Monday, Aug. 12, of Jenner in Malibu, actor Brandon Thomas Lee joked, “Let’s round this scandal out and post a pic of us making out.”
“Watch out! Pics of Liam and I (sic) holding hands on the beach coming soon,” he wrote back.
Cyrus replied, “Go take a nap in our truck and cool off #HotGirlSummer.”
Amid the fun getaway, one of Cyrus’ latest Instagram posts seems to reflect on her the happenings in her personal life.
