Ten years on, Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson are meeting up again for a sequel to “Zombieland,” slated to hit theaters on October 18. In the meantime, Sony Pictures have released the feature’s first outlandishly explosive trailer.
A decade after 2009’s horror comedy “Zombieland,” the entire gang is back for “Zombieland: Double Tap,” with leads Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson and Abigail Breslin once again fighting zombies under the direction of Ruben Fleischer.
The quirky family is once again on the road across the US after the departure of Little Rock (Breslin). Tallahassee (Harrelson), Columbus (Eisenberg) and Wichita (Stone) set out to find her, meeting a motley crew of characters along the way, played by the likes of Zoey Deutch, Rosario Dawson and Luke Wilson.
Bill Murray, who played himself in the first installment, also returns to the sequel, alongside “Ghostbusters” alum Dan Aykroyd.
“Zombieland” took in over US$102 million at the worldwide box office. NVG
