Karel Marquez says no liposuction in post-baby flat tummy
Actress Karel Marquez denied that she had cosmetic surgery to achieve a flat tummy after giving birth in June.
Marquez welcomed her third child, baby boy Kobe Federico, on June 19. She has been sharing her motherhood journey on Instagram, such as breastfeeding and working on her food business Momma Karel’s Kitchen.
On Monday, July 15, Marquez posted a video of her carrying baby Kobe, her midriff bared as she shared that she prefers using a nursing bra at home so she can feed Kobe anytime.

Burp done. 😅💓 Showing my @fazupph protected iPhone no matter how I always take snaps of my fam – I installed this months before I got pregnant during my last teleserye, Contessa, and I'm glad I did, since it scientifically removes 99% of SAR levels that's why now, it's still on my phone (since before I got preggy until now) – So @kobe_farinas and I are extra protected 'coz I love capturing moments with him. 💓💯 Happy Monday, everyone! (With my ever reliable nursing bra 'coz I only have a limited amount of nursing t-shirts when laundry doesn't catch up, or when I wear normal shirts, I have to remove it still since I feed and pump, so this is how I do for now at home, strike anywhere anytime to breastfeed, I'm comfy and baby is too. 🍼 You do you and I do me, no negativity on MY feed – from @mamawayphil 😅)
Fans praised the actress for her figure, with some wondering if she even had a baby just a month before.
An Instagram user, a certain @teasemenchu, left the comment “Lipo.”
Marquez replied, “Breastfeeding and still healing after a 3 week CS? I wish!”
She said she was open to getting liposuction for loose skin. “But I still plan to have another baby in a few years so I can’t have that option—yet.”
When one Celestine Smit asked how she got so slim, Marquez said, “Breastfeed and puyat all the way for 26 days straight na (already).”
Marquez’s TV shows include “My Husband’s Lover” and, most recently, the 2018 drama series “Contessa.” She is so far enjoying her role as a full-time mom and being a wife to businessman Sean Fariñas since their 2016 wedding. /ra
