Karel Marquez gives birth to baby boy

MANILA, Philippines –  Karel Marquez gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Wednesday.

The model and actress introduced her newborn son, Kobe Federico Marquez Fariñas, in an Instagram post.

“Kobe Federico Santos Fariñas… born 1:47pm today, June 19, 2019,” Marquez said.

“We had our successful breastfeeding sesh just now too at 4:29pm and he is fast asleep na. I am so happy.”

Marquez said that her son was delivered via emergency Caesarean section at the St. Luke’s Medical Center at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

“So happy there’s milk for him. I’ve been praying hard for this! O diba, I got time to post while he is asleep beside me at the recovery room,” Marquez said.

This is the first child for Marquez with husband Sean Fariñas. She has two other children, Keiley and Kyler, with actor-model Arman de Guzman. (Editor: Jonathan P. Vicente)
