TV host Kim Atienza expressed his pride after his son Jose completed his first solo flight as a student pilot of the Leading Edge International Aviation Academy Inc. in La Union.

Atienza could not help but gush over his son’s achievement, based on his Instagram post yesterday, July 15.

“Congratulations on your wings my PILOT Jose! Mama and I are so proud of you! You are truly a blessing,” the TV host said.

“Always remember THE pilot, the source of all, as you fly His great skies!” he added. “I love you dear dear son! Praise Jesus for you!”

Atienza later took to social media again to share photos of his son. One photo showed Jose as a young child holding a toy airplane, and in another Atienza posed with his son clad in a pilot trainee’s uniform.

“I’m still stoked. My little boy is now a pilot. Sorry for the humblebrag friends but papa just can’t help it. Love you Jose!” the TV host stated.

Atienza’s wife, Felicia, also shared their son’s achievement with her fans and followers. She posted a clip of Jose’s landing after executing his first solo flight.

“Solo flight! 8249 (824-niner) has landed. Love you son @jhatienza,” the proud mother said.

Jose is the eldest of Atienza’s three children.  /ra
