Andrea Brillantes mourns passing of grandfather figure ‘Daddy Jun’
MANILA, Philippines — Actress Andrea Brillantes mourned the passing of her grandfather figure who she fondly calls “Daddy Jun.”
Brilliantes paid homage to her Daddy Jun via social media, sharing photos of him while in the hospital and during stronger, happier days.
“To the best lolo and one of my number 1 fan (dahil isa dun si mami Susan), thank you sa pag tayo bilang tatay sa akin at sa mga kapatid ko kahit hindi man kita kadugo naging tunay na lolo ka parin samin,” said Brillantes via Instagram on May 13. “Maraming salamat sa walang kapaguran na pag alaga sa aming lahat.”

Brilliantes called Jun her “role model” and said he is one of the reasons why she is successful today. She also vowed that she would strive even harder so she would fulfill all their dreams in life.
“Mamimiss ko din mga jokes mo, ngiti mo, adventures natin, pero alam ko na nasa mas mabuting lugar ka ngayon,” she added. “Proud ako sayo dahil lumaban ka till the end. I love you Daddy Jun thank you for everything.” (Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
