Joey de Leon, Oyo Boy, Danica joyous over Vico Sotto’s win
MANILA. Philippines — Comedian Joey de Leon and half-siblings Oyo Boy and Danica Sotto congratulated Vico Sotto for the landslide victory in his Pasig mayoralty bid.
De Leon seemed to be in disbelief at first on Vico’s win when he took to Instagram on Tuesday, May 14.
“I WOKE UP… AND LIKED THIS! Totoo na ba? Yesss! Congrats VICO!” De Leon said. “Proud of you! So happy for Mareng Coney! Pareng Vic you’re the MAN!”
Half-siblings Oyo Boy and Danica also greeted the younger Sotto via social media.
“#Halalan2019 #PasigCity — congratulations @vicosotto!” Oyo Boy wrote via Instagram on Tuesday. “God is good!”
“Congratulations mayor Vico!!!!” Danica said in an Instagram Story. “#IBANA #ALLGLORYTOGOD.”
Article continues after this advertisementMeanwhile, actress-comedian Ai-Ai delas Alas is glad that those she supported in the elections won, as she shared via Instagram a photo of Vico and Special Assistant to the President Bong Go, who ran for senator.
Article continues after this advertisement“Congratulations yehey pasok ang aking mga nasuportahan,” Delas Alas said on Tuesday. “Salamat mga Pasigeños, salamat Pilpinas. Isa nalang intay ko, si Cong. Edu Manzano nalang hehe and complete na.”
Sotto unseated his opponent incumbent mayor Robert “Bobby” Eusebio, whose family has ruled Pasig City for 27 years, with a 84,614-vote lead. Sotto had 201,028 votes compared to Eusebio’s 116,414 with 96 percent of precincts counted, as per the former’s Facebook post Tuesday.
