As the search continues for the next Darna, Liza Soberano left a message for the one who will get the title of the iconic superheroine.

In a Facebook post by Soberano’s talent manager Ogie Diaz last Saturday, May 4, the comedian relayed Soberano’s message for the next Darna, saying she has “moved on” after withdrawing from the project due to health complications.

“Ang sabi ni Liza sa akin, ‘Kung new face yan, Tito Ogs, galingan niya talaga, dahil sobrang [ang laking] opportunity ng Darna sa kanya.'” Diaz said.

(Liza told me, “If she is going to be a new face, Tito Ogs, she should do really well because Darna will be such a big opportunity for her.”)

The “Dolce Amor” actress supposedly advised the next Darna to “give her heart and soul to the project,” including training and acting.

She also emphasized the importance of being humble, saying, “And I know for sure, this movie will make her. Wag lang ikalaki ng ulo niya because hindi siya nag-start from bottom. Big break agad. Kaya remain humble.”

([I hope] it does not get into her head because she did not start from the bottom. She will get a big break instantly, so remain humble.)

Diaz also voiced his opinion on the next Darna, saying it would be better if she is a new face as it would be “fresh and exciting.” He also revealed that a number of actresses wanted to play the role, including Julia Barretto and certain actresses with the initials “K” and “M,” who he did not name.

The comedian also joined the conversation about celebrity politicians, saying, “Ang dami na masyado (There are too many).”

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN’s film production Star Cinema held auditions for the Darna role last weekend, May 4-5.  /ra
