BTS wins Top Group in Billboard Music Awards

MANILA, Philippines — Global Korean boy group sensation BTS made history as the first Korean act to be named as Top Group at the Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) on Thursday.

BTS surpassed Dan and Shay, Maroon 5, Panic! At The Disco and last year’s Top Group Imagine Dragons.

“Still can’t believe that we’re here on this stage with so many great artists, oh my god. And this was only possible ‘cause of the little things we share, the BTS and ARMY power, right?” BTS’ leader RM said upon receiving the award.

“We’re still the same boys from six years ago, we still have the same dreams, we still have the thoughts. Let’s just keep dreaming the best dream together. I love you all,” he added.

Apart from winning the Top Group award, the seven-member group was also named as the Top Social Artist for the third consecutive year.

They won against Ariana Grande, Louis Tomlinson and Korean acts GOT7 and EXO.
