Luis Manzano reveals Vilma Santos once rescued Jessy Mendiola and her sister from fire
Luis Manzano has just revealed that his mom Vilma Santos once saved Jessy Mendiola and her elder sister, Pam, from a fire.
The television host shared about the incident involving his girlfriend while they were enjoying a seafood feast, as it appears on Mendiola’s vlog entry posted on her YouTube channel last Thursday, April 4.
Manzano and Mendiola were asked if they had nicknames when they were kids. Mendiola got it right with Manzano’s popular nickname “Lucky”; however, Manzano did not guess right Mendiola’s nickname, leading her to reveal it as “Tisay,” a nickname she earned for her fair skin.
At this point, Manzano said that while Mendiola was still young, she, her sister and his “Star for All Seasons” mom Vilma Santos, once worked together for a television commercial.
“Nasunog yung set, niligtas sila ni mommy,” he recounted.

Mendiola said that another thing they have in common is that their respective fathers knew each other way before.
“Naging mag-on dati,” Manzano joked.
(They used to be a couple.)
Mendiola has previously expressed gratitude to the veteran actress-turned-politician for being kind to her.
“She will never make you feel you aren’t welcome,” she said of Santos. “She’s always warm, and makes me feel like I’m part of the family when I visit.” JB
