Actress, host and mom-of-two Jolina Magdangal channeled her inner Marie Kondo and recently decluttered her shoes by applying the “KonMari” method: keeping only those that “spark joy.”

Except, it isn’t so simple, as Magdangal shared to her fans via Instagram on Feb. 12 that it seemed all of her shoes still sparked some joy in her.

In the post, the carefree actress can be seen sitting on a stool, surrounded by shoeboxes, high heels of varied styles and color and a big box filled with more footwear. Magdangal had her eyes closed as she wore a pair of blue high heels, seemingly contemplating if the shoes still sparked joy.

“Time to let go… so pinakikiramdaman ko bawat sapatos kung may ‘spark of joy pa sila,’” she shared. “E kaso parang lahat meron pa!!!!”

However, she added that although she may feel such, she must be determined to let go of some of her shoes. “Kailangan tigasan ang loob at let go na ang iba.”

Actress Sheena Halili echoed Magdangal’s sentiments, showing that she was not alone in her struggles. Halili shared that it may be hard to declutter, but no doubt believes Magdangal can do it. She also shared she has applied the “KonMari” method to her shopping since she sometimes buys things on impulse.

“Ang hirap ate niyan! Pero kaya mo yan,” Halili said. “Pati sa shopping ina-apply ko na yang ‘spark of joy.’ Minsan bili lang ng bili basta may mabili.”

But it is not as if the shoes Magdangal will be letting go of would be put to waste. One of her fans have taken to her post and offered to buy her shoes for school, while another asked her if she could borrow a pair for her graduation.

“Ms @mariejolina_ig willing to buy po,” said a certain Nel (@ysnelogayon). “Student po ako and need po ng black heels for corporate attire. Size 5 po…”

“Idol pa arbor naman, kahit pang graduation ko lang po,” said one Shen (@shemae10). “Since ‘Ang TV’ days pa dati inaabangan na kita… Lalo pag kakanta ka at iba iba ang style ng hair… so pretty!!!”

Magdangal, on her end, was game to the idea of passing her shoes on to her fans and has since reached out to them to ask whether they are okay with 5-inch heels.  /ra
