Jolina Magdangal expected to give birth to baby girl today, May 28

Actress Jolina Magdangal and husband Mark Escueta of the band Rivermaya are expecting the birth of their daughter today, May 28. The baby girl, who they are naming Vika Anaya, is their second baby, following firstborn Pele.
Escueta took to Instagram yesterday, May 27, to share to their followers a picture of him and wife Magdangal already at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Alabang, Muntinlupa. He informed all that Magdangal is scheduled for a caesarean section today, May 28.
“Litrato ng naghahalong saya at takot. Caesarean Section procedure scheduled for 9am tomorrow morning (May28). A very important day for the years to come. Si Pele CS din pinanganak pero kahit 2nd time na, natatakot pa rin.”

Despite being nervous, Escueta extended his gratitude to those who prayed for them, as well as the hospital staff for taking good care of them: “Thank you sa lahat ng nagdadasal, at magdadasal (to all those who are praying and will be praying). Thank you sa (t0) @asianhospitalph for taking good care of us. Lord, thank you so much for being our comfort and peace. See you tomorrow Baby Vika.”
Magdangal, meanwhile, took to her Instagram yesterday and shared a picture of her on the hospital bed hugging her son, Pele. She addressed him personally in her post, promising that this won’t be the last time they would share a hug with just each other.
It is known that days ago, Magdangal expressed her worries and concerns that firstborn Pele might feel neglected or jealous in the presence of a sibling.
“Pagkatapos ko manganak, kakayanin ko makarecover agad para matulungan parin kita maligo, makalaro ka, makakwentuhan ka, at maenjoy natin ang bago mong kalaro na si Vika,” promised Magdangal.
(After I give birth, I’ll do my best to recover quickly so I can still help give you a bath, play with you, talk to you, and enjoy your new playmate with you, Vika.)
It appears too that the delivery is underway as per Escueta’s latest post showing him and Magdangal in their hospital scrubs and caps. He wrote, “Here we go.”
