Julia Barretto cuts vacation short due to ‘homesickness’
A look at Julia Barretto’s Instagram would fill one with wanderlust. The actress has been traveling around South America and taking stunning photos of Cuba and Mexico.

The “Ngayon at Kailanman” actress announced Friday, Feb. 8 on Twitter that she would be packing her bags to come home sooner than expected.

“Not easy to feel homesick. Cutting my trip short to be with the ones I love most,” she wrote. “I am satisfied with the time I gifted myself… it’s time to go home.”

Barretto said last Jan. 31 on Instagram that she would be traveling for two weeks. About more than halfway through her journey, it seems she is satisfied with the sights she has seen and the solo adventure she has experienced.
On Feb. 4, Barretto expressed hesitations at traveling to the next set of places after visiting Tulum, Mexico and Havana, Cuba.
“We spent 5 days in our first destination and spent only two days in our second destination and flying out again tomorrow for another country,” she narrated.
“To be absolutely honest, I am extremely excited but at the same time extremely nervous for our next destinations… Only because as early as now I can already tell that these places will change my life and help me find my peace and serenity.”
“Here’s to the year of getting out of my comfort zone, surrendering and most of all living.”

One of the recent destinations she went to was the Inca citadel Machu Picchu in Peru. As per her Instagram Stories last Feb. 8, she described the UNESCO World Heritage site as “Stunning. Breathtaking. Life changing.”
Just as Barretto already misses home, she is also missed back home. Just a few days into her trip, love team partner Joshua Garcia tweeted on Feb. 1, “Go home! Now!”

Last Friday, she also shared on her Instagram Stories a video of youngest sister Erich telling her to go home. She wrote over the video, “Coming my love.” JB
