Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda marks his 43rd birthday today, Feb. 7, and celebrations are definitely in order.
Miranda shared to his fans on social media that wife Neri Naig surprised him with a pre-birthday barbecue party yesterday, Feb. 6.
“Neri surprised me with a pre-birthday barbecue party sa kanyang ‘not so secret garden,’” wrote Miranda via Instagram on Feb. 6. “Nagulat ako, hindi lang dahil surprise party, kundi dahil sa kung gaano kaganda yung ginawa nya sa balak nyang buksan na cafe.”

Miranda, however, does not need a special occasion such as his birthday to realize his blessings from God. In his heartfelt post, he said that it feels like it’s his birthday every day anyway because of Naig and son Miggy.
“Bukas pa birthday ko pero araw araw naman parang birthday ko dahil kay Neri at kay Miggy at sa lahat ng blessings na patuloy na binibigay ni God,” he said. “And for that, I am thankful.”
Meanwhile, Naig took to her own Instagram account in the early hours of Thursday to write a sweet birthday message for her husband. In her post, she shared a picture of Miranda, with Miggy sitting on his lap.
“Happy birthday sa pinaka the best asawa at daddy para sa amin ni Miggy!” Naig wrote. “Walang hanggang pasasalamat at papuri ang maririnig at mararamdaman mo sa amin ni Miggy kase napakabuti mo naman talagang tao.”

She promised Miranda that she and Miggy would always be there for him. “Para pasayahin ka, para mas mahalin ka pa, at gawing magaan ang buhay.”
Naig also expressed her gratitude for all of Miranda’s support for her endeavors. “Naiintindihan mo ako at ginagabayan,” she said of her husband. “Salamat at ginagawa mong mas masaya ang buhay ko.”
And her birthday wish for Miranda? Simply, a long and fulfilling life.
“Para mas matagal pa tayong magkasama at maalagaan pa natin mga apo natin kay Miggy,” she quipped. “Naaaaaks! Apo agad??!
