Karina Bautista admits breakup with non-showbiz boyfriend of 4 years

MANILA, Philippines — One of “Pinoy Big Brother: Otso’s” Big Four Karina Bautista has admitted that she and her non-showbiz boyfriend had already broken up.

“Ngayon po, hindi na po. Friends na lang,” Bautista disclosed during her guesting at talk show “Gandang Gabi Vice” on Sunday when Vice Ganda asked about the status of her relationship with then-boyfriend Christian Dronio.

She also explained how they reached the decision to break up, saying “Siguro po para may soul searching ganun po kasi mahirap yung nangyari.”

Bautista previously confessed to falling in love with fellow housemate Aljon Mendoza despite being in a four-year relationship with Dronio.

This led Dronio to make a video addressing the issue where he expressed how hurt he was by Bautista’s confession.

Meanwhile, the confession led netizens to coin a love team name “KarJon” for Bautista and Mendoza.
