K Brosas inspires as dream home nears completion: ‘Wala pong deadline ang pangarap’

Singer-comedienne K Brosas could not keep her excitement to herself as her dream house nears completion. Brosas took to Instagram last Jan. 25 to share to her fans photos of her new home being built in Quezon City, saying she wanted to inspire others her age.
“So eto na… Konti na lang po… I’m posting this hindi para mag yabang kundi sana lang maka inspire sa iba na same age ko, na ilang beses nasabihan na ‘dapat matagal mo nang ginawa yan,’” said Brosas, who is to turn 44 this July.

Building her dream home did not happen overnight. Brosas admitted to her fans that she was not always responsible with her money and trusted the wrong people in the past. She also lost most of her possessions when tropical storm “Ondoy” hit in 2009.
“Truth is.. naging pabaya po ako sa pera at nagtiwala ako sa mga maling tao,” she confessed. “Kasalanan ko yon, [kasi] pinabayaan ko.. Plus, na-Ondoy kami.”
She added that she was also afraid of taking out loans in the past. “Gusto ko handa na’ko financially… (although walang prob kung yun ang kaya ng iba, ako lang naman to hehe). Kaya now ko lang napa gawa ang simpleng bahay na pangarap ko.”
It would only be Brosas and her daughter Crystal who will be living in the house, which she clarified is not a mansion. She also dreams of having a beach house in the future, which she leaves all up to God.
“Wala pong ‘deadline’ ang pangarap o kung ano man gusto nyo makamit sa buhay… We are never too old to have new goals and dreams.”
Happy beyond measure, Brosas lifted her thanks to God for all the blessings and more “labada” that will come in her life.
A point of advice to her fans?
“Wag kayong magmadali. Mag ipon, mag sipag… Wag pabayaan pera nyong pinagpaguran,” advised Brosas. “At walang age limit ang pag sunod sa mga pangarap nyo, kahit dahan dahan lang.” /ra
