Why LJ Reyes was fearful of raising two kids

LJ Reyes may be enjoying being a mom of two right now, but she expressed that she was not so enthusiastic about the idea before.

The Kapuso actress spoke about one of her fears before having her second child, newborn Summer Ayanna, in an Instagram post Wednesday, Jan. 23.

“Iniisip ko (I thought) it feels like time is so little to be spent on one child, what more on two?” Reyes asked. “I was also curious how we can love another human being fully and unconditionally when you only have one heart?”

Now that she has been blessed with two children, she said she has finally realized what the saying “You grow another heart” means. “It doesn’t matter if you only have one heart!” Reyes explained. “Your heart grows along with the number of children you have!”

She also realized how she is grateful for every second of her motherhood, “in spite of the sleepless nights and all the postpartum experiences that come with it.”

Reyes gave birth to baby Summer, her first child with partner Paolo Contis, last Jan. 4. The actress has another child, 8-year-old Aki, with ex-boyfriend Paulo Avelino. JB
