While Aquino’s lawyer Ricky dela Cruz has previously stated that the allegations of death threats were “malicious,” a purported recording of the exchange between Aquino and Falcis has surfaced and is uploaded on YouTube.

A social media feud between the two has been going on after Falcis claimed in early January that Aquino had been bullying him and made threats against his life.

Recording a ‘bluff’?

Aquino’s latest Instagram post today, Jan. 15 seemed to allude to the said recording but did not mention Falcis’ name.

“Alam naman nya binubwisit ko lang life nya that Sept. 27 (He knows that I was just antagonizing his life that Sept. 27),” she said.

“You and I know that was a bluff provoked by anger and fear because of my awful health diagnosis,” she added.

In the recording, the woman believed to be Aquino, claimed that her family would have Falcis killed. Aquino, in her post today, appear to try to prove that the alleged threats were baseless. She reiterated that she is not on speaking terms with her brother, former president Noynoy Aquino, and that her sisters are “meek and mild” and could not do harm.

“Sadly, this has been 1 badly orchestrated demolition job being funded by personalities out for political revenge,” she claimed.

‘Usual tactics of money and power’

Hours after her post, Falcis lashed out at his former business partner on Instagram.

“I thought you’re a professional, but all you are is a spoiled girl who can’t deal with rejection and abandonment,” he said. “All throughout this traumatic experience, I still ensured I protect our businesses and stakeholders first and foremost, but you just threw it all out just so you can be the bully and brat even in business.”

He also revealed other personalities that Aquino also allegedly “threatened.”

“You used on me your usual tactics of money and power to threaten the people who go against you — I saw it all, Korina, Ricky Lo, Mocha, James (Deakin and Yap), etc.”

The names presumably refer to broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez, showbiz commentator Ricky Lo, pro-Duterte blogger Mocha Uson, journalist James Deakin and ex-husband James Yap.

He reiterated that she had made threats against his life, and noted that he found a silver lining to it.

“When you threatened my life, you said you would go and attack me in all directions,” he said. “I thought people [were] going to abandon me, but instead they’re all supporting me, so much more than I ever imagined. I was so surprised that even the brands (agencies, bosses, managers) reached out to me saying they believe everything my family and I are saying.”

Falcis’ brother, lawyer Jesus Falcis, claimed that Aquino’s post further proved that she was “fabricating the truth” — this he said in his own Instagram post today.

He said that based on the recording, it seemed that Aquino already knew she had autoimmune disease lupus prior to medical tests done in the following months.

“Gusto mo palabasin na may lupus ka, so nagpa-medical tests ka to ‘confirm’ may lupus ka AFTER mo i-claim sa grave threats incident na may lupus ka,” he said.

(You wanted to make it look like you had lupus, so you took medical tests to “confirm” that you have lupus after you claimed in your grave threats incident that you had lupus.)

He said, “Palusot ka pa! Bluff ka dyan.” (You’re using excuses, claiming that it’s a bluff.)

Aquino filed criminal complaints against Falcis last November, alleging that he used funds from her production company, Kristina C. Aquino Productions (KCAP), for personal use.

Nicko Falcis said in an early January Instagram post that these are “baseless” and that “I refuse to be her victim.” JB
