MANILA, Philippines — Actor and former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Edward Barber is set to release his first album soon.
The 18-year-old actor announced the news in an Instagram post on Monday.
Barber recounted saying he would do anything to avoid singing when he entered the PBB house.
“I begged Kuya not to make me sing ‘Baliw’ but… he made it into a task. And well, the rest is history,” he said.
“Baliw” is a song Barber and onscreen partner Maymay Entrata composed during their stint in the reality show.
“Great things have started since then. And I have never been more grateful. Fast forward a year and I found out that I would be having an album,” he added.
“And all I can say was that I wanted to repeat everything I said when [I] got into PBB. But God has a funny way of making miracles happen so just tonight I finished recording the last song with @roxsantos,” the young actor said.
Barber gave special mentions to those who guided him in the process of making his album and said, “Can’t wait to share it all with you.”
He also teased fans of Entrata by saying, “P.S. I heard one of @maymay songs and … let’s just say keep an eye out for her new album too.”
In 2018, Barber released two singles entitled “BMG” and “Please Stay.” /muf
